I hate September

I'm so glad September is over...
I spent many hours, days and weeks thinking I had a duff class.  They couldn't sit, wouldn't listen and everything seemed new to them.  Bearing in mind this is there third year in school.  Then I had a gentle reminder from someone on a forum "for the youngest in the year group it's hard as they may have only been talking for just over three years and we're expecting them to write!"  While this has made me think, I also know that the class I just left are the same age and are already streets ahead.
October, a new month, has brought a teeny, weeny, flicker of light on the horizon.  We may all get to the end in one piece, hopefully.
Roll on next term where we can embed some of the things, because they haven't done it up to now.
