It must be our anniversary the sun is shining. Who knew Scotland could be so shiny!
We’ll be back soon Kyloe
We will have our Freedom!!
The Castle in the sunshine, that’s a first.
Posing outside parliament, I needed to use the loo. I got trapped in amongst some Italian students and lost GO. Found him pulling a sulky pose by the water feature.
I had to get in on the action.
Strike a pose!
I decided that we would mark our fifth anniversary by climbing to the summit of Arthur’s seat. It’d be a doddle.....
Off we go.
It’s all smiles and giggles at the bottom...
It didn’t look too bad, and in all honesty the climb was not a problem, couldn’t have said that two years ago.
What did make it tricky was the ice and snow.
We kept having to stop and work out safe routes, there were other people walking with us who were illequipped and were falling left, right and centre.
I wasn’t wearing the best shoes, I had converse on, but somehow I stayed upright the whole way.
Stopping for happy snaps.
Letting him lead the way in the slippy bits, I am no fool.
We tried to stay off the main path as it was iciest.
Wow, what a view!
Can you spot the Italians who thought the field would be easier, it wasn’t. Ha ha!
Everyone is waiting for someone else to make the first move.
Finally we made it to the summit.
Summit selfie, almost.
Now we have to get back down again.
It was okay, but some of the drifts were deep and sloppy.
I fell often, much to GO’s joy and amusement, until he fell. Then it wasn’t funny anymore.
Got down, but this wasn’t where we had statrted, was it?
Oh well we squelched our way back to civilisation, it got hotter and hotter with each step.
But we did it!
We walked up there!
