Long time no see

I've just had a visit from an old friend.  It wasn't unexpected, I could sense they were on the way.  I had last heard from them over a year ago, we'd had a pretty patchy relationship and we even got professional help to try to "normalise" our relationship.  Our last visit occurred when we were living with the outlaws, it was awful timing.  It always is.  We shall see whether we'll meet again I wouldn't be sad if we don't, but when we do meet up I always want mire I just don't like the pain and anguish they bring with them.
