The Ginger One Is Leaving

I went to Wallingford to meet up with Hollabird for a farewell catch up.  We had (as usual) a very civilised evening chatting and having a giggle.  It was the day before the big move and a Friday so I was feeling a bit tired so I knew/hoped it wouldn't be a late night.  At about nine we decided to call it a night.  We said our goodbyes and promised to keep in touch.  I texted GO, and planned to snuggle in my bed (for the last time ever).  "Why don't you come and join us?"I arrived just as the parking was free (always a good sign), my plan was to stay for a while and then head home.Five hours later, after laughing, dancing and eating the place almost dry, we said goodbye and headed home.  It was a fun night and I'm glad I went.  GO has made some good friends at the pub and has lots of laughs it was lovely to see them sending him on his way in style.

And So Our Adventure Moves On

It is time for us to pack our bags and take the Murray house and it's life to pastures newer and hopefully greener.

Moving on is always difficult.  So however, are more experienced (30 moves in my lifetime so far) at it than others; and are able to partition our lives quite easily, others find moving more traumatic.

I love moving!  I love the planning, packing and the sights and sounds of moving days.  I can remember most of my moving days and look back at each one with fond memories.

With this in mind I am slowly but surely getting excited about our impending move. I have bought boxes, found a storage unit (just in case) and have downloaded a "moving plan" from Pinterest.

I am working in a new school for the first month or so, just to build up a little nest egg before we head on up and start all over again.

For how long?  Who knows there has been talk of heading abroad at some point.

The Great Oxford Pack Off begins

So I've been around the house and taken down our curtains and lampshades and put the landlords own back up.  To me this means we are really moving.

As an army brat I can very quickly make a place my own, I swap the fittings (curtains, rugs, lamps) as soon as possible and with the help of candles and furnishings even rented accommodation feels like home.

To take my things down and put the other things back up means I have mentally prepared to move on, more than the stacks of boxes in the spare room ever could.

So Grateful - feel the love

I received many gifts when I left eh Little Village School, those that were hand made touched my heart.  One gift was a word cloud made by a little girl and her family.

Such a thoughtful gift

Countdown Continues

This Monday there will be...
Until the summer and I move on to pasture new, even if it is only until Christmas.

For the love of a Ginger One

You are the best friend I have ever had, you have seen me at my best and my worst and you are still here.  You are a wonderful,...
