Ever since the Piece Hall opened last summer it’s been just itching so host something mammoth.
With a little post on Facebook it was announced that the BBC behemoth that is The Antiques Roadshow would be coming to town.
While we have lots of things, there are a few things that we would actually take to be valued.
GO decided to take a pocket watch “sold” to him by his grandfather. We arrived and then began a waiting game not seen since Wimbledon 2008.
It was so hot the paramedic asked me if I was okay because my face was red. I replied “my face is always red!” She then spoke to a mum with a newborn who was burning up. She ran and got a cool pack for the baby, I kicked myself.
I managed to entertain myself while queuing by nipping into the shops and boutiques around the quad.
When we finally made it to the watch table it
was revealed that GO’s watch was worth..... not telling.
