I had quite an embarrassing experience yesterday. I took Asterix in for a bit of a pamper, he was filthy and I need a bit of a clean. The garage we bought him from has a Saturday morning car club, once a month you get a free wash and valet service.
I was booked in for 10am, on my way to visit Mrs F and my BFF, so I decided to pop in to the ladies, before I left, you never know when you'll be caught short. I picked up my key from the reception desk and headed to the toilet.
I put my keys in my pocket and did my business. As I washed my hands I realised I wasn't really sure where I'd left my keys. I patted my pockets they were empty.
I looked in my handbag couldn't find them, I looked in the front pocket of my handbag where I usually keep the keys, empty. By this stage I was starting to get a bit panicky, I looked in the cubicle nothing.
Maybe I'd hung them on the hook behind the door, who'd do that sort of thing? Not me.
It was at this moment that it started to dawn on me, that perhaps the keys had fallen into the toilet.
I threw everything back into my bag, I ran out to find some help. The man began to look for me. He asked the lady at reception to call their key guy to see how we'd get a replacement.
My head started hurting, I don't deal with stressful situations, my face was getting redder and my heart was pounding. I rested my hand on my chest to calm myself down, just breathe.
It was then that I felt it, tucked safely under my bra was my key. Oh rats! I signalled to the lady on the phone, looked around atthe guys who were still searching. I whispered to her that I found the key, smiled awkwardly, and tried to step away.
"She's found it!" She hollered. I thanked everyone profusely and apologised for the fuss is caused, blamed feeling under the weather for my sudden forgetfulness and headed swiftly for the door.
I had just reached out for the handle when I heard, "where were they? The keys?" I mumbled something about pockets and got into the car. GO will be taking Asterix to the next Saturday Club.
