New School

I have now begun working at my second school this academic year.  It is again a little village school.

There has been quite a large change over of staff in recent months.  The previous leadership team changed and that had quite an impact on the staff.

As there are many laws involved in the employment of teachers, that I don't really understand, it has left gaps in the team to be filled by yours truly and a couple of other supplies.

My first week, was quite a learning curve, I am only in class one afternoon a week (Friday) as we have PE, PPA and Forest School.

Forest school lessons all take part in forests, as the name suggests.  I have managed to, thus far, avoid actually going to the forest.

TTC - again

Many moons ago GO and I decided we would give the trying to conceive until January (6 months after the drilling) and then we would begin to look into adoption.

I have always wanted to adopt a chd, there are so many children looking for a home, and we are looking for a chance to love and be parents. Being a biological parent is not a priority for me, I just want to be a mother. Since meeting GO I have always wanted to see what we would produce genetically speaking.

With this in mind, after returning from Christmas withy parents, I went for my six month check up. I explained my plan to my GP, who shocked me with her reply.

In essence she told me that I should keep on TTC, as I am in the prime of my life and really given anything a chance yet. I will be able to adopt well into my forties, but this may be my only chance to conceive naturally.

So after a but if a break we are how back on the TTC schedule, all be it with less focus. No temperature tracking, mucus, or accupuncture. We are taking our times and enjoying ourselves. We haven't given ourselves a time limit. We are just taking things as they come.

Fingers crossed, hoping for babydust xxx

Oxford wanderings

No sibling rivalry here.

Mid December I received an email from my brother informing me of the intinarary he had planned for his stay.  Once a military man always a military man.  After visiting the parentals in Deutschland he would visit his bestie by the beach and was then planning to come and visit us.  The first day he wanted to do an Oxford Harry Potter tour, just a walk around Oxford looking at some filming locations, and the. Go out fr afternoon tea.  I managed to co once G.O to come in to town with me, if only for the tea.
As we were chatting about times to leave, I asked what time the tour started, perhaps we could meet up afterwards.  It was then that brother informed me, "oh, I have a map you can do the tour for us."

Before we set off I decided that we would have to line our stomachs, nothing sets you up for the day like a proper breakfast.  And what better place to get a good and budget friendly breakfast, why whether spoons of course.
Full English
Eggs Benedict are my guilty pleasure.
