Gingerbread Love - The journey really begins

The Proposal...

He actually proposed!!!
After deciding that we just couldn't get through an 18-30 holiday in one piece. Stuart booked and arranged a hotel in the Cornwall town of Newquay.

On our second day in Cornwall, Tuesday 2nd August, we decided to travel to Land's End starting our tour at the furthest point, we would then go to the Minack theatre to experience an evening performance.

Land's End was just a starting point, we didn't want to spend too much time there it was just an overpriced con. You even had to pay to have a photo taken with the famous signpost. Oh how we laughed at the suckers who were paying £10 to have their photo taken, we had managed to take one by leaning over the banister outside the pub and if you stood leaning to the left slightly you couldn't even see the little bald headed man stood behind Stuart.

We walked over to the first and last shop and bought two lollipops, Stuart had his man bag with him and kept pulling things out of it, jackets, drink, camera, batteries. He wouldn't let go of the blooming bag.

"Let's go and sit down over there it's quiet." Stuart said, before we went I nipped to the loo. Little did I know Stuart was on the phone to my parents asking for their permission. We found a very quiet little spot, I joked to Stuart that if you held your hands up to face you could block out the whole world and it was just the two of us.

I was just eating my pringles and trying to fix the camera, when I noticed Stuart on the floor fumbling with his man bag. 'What has he lost now? Bloody man bag, he can never find anything in there.' I thought to myself. It was then I realised that he was on the floor for a reason.

"Corrina I love you very much, you make every day special. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me?" My stomach flew into my mouth then dropped back down again, "Oh my god! Oh my god yes!!!"

Of course you all know by now that we bought lot's of overpriced goodies in every shop on site; a steel boat, a hoodie , tea towels, magnets, passport holders, a beautiful painting of the exact spot Stuart proposed, and yes pride of place on our cabinet is given to a photo of the Land's End signpost with Will you marry me? 2nd August 2012, a bargain at only £10.

We're getting married

Smuggest man in the world
