Bimbling the Haymarket

After partaking in a whisky or two we spent time browsing the tartan weavers shop.

We have never been in the castle, it just doesn’t appeal to me.  Standing in front and taking a selfie does though.

He’s smiling but he wants something to eat.

Oh where oh where can I get something to eat?

Oh haggis, neeps and tatties that’ll do.

Fetch!

Oor Bobbie.

Cocktails, Pah, we want Whisky

GO just getting his wallet out of the safe.

Decisions, decisions what to have for breakfast?

I had an Eggs Benedict with haggis, obvs.

Off we went exploring the Royal Mile.  We wanted to visit Mary's  Close but they had no tickets so....

We wandered....

And wandered until we found.....

The Scottish Whisky Experience.

It was part ride/history lesson/ taste test.

If you think you don’t like whisky visit here, there is a dram for everyone.

I don’t drink gin!

Gin makes me angry!

I have always said this but people always just laugh.  It is, however, true.

After our amazing meal the waiter told us that our receipt gave us a money off deal at the Edinburgh Gin Distillery.  Well, I will put aside my feelings if there is a deal to be had.

Deep in the vaults under Princes Street is the Edinburgh Gin Distillery, by day it makes gin at night it’s a cocktail Bar.

I loved that we had a secluded little nook to ourselves.  We had control of the music we listened to which was fun.

Fake pose!

Three pages of gin cocktails, I only had one.

Cheers!

Everything looks so pretty in a vault.

Gin cocktail number four.

Mint and grapefruit.
