Toddler Life
He snuck through the door, scaring the life out of me. Refused to talk, or eat. Went through a mad half an hour where he rolled around the floor, being silly and goofy. Then collapsed on the sofa, rubbing his eyes and yawning. When I gently suggested he have a shower and an early night he looked at me and said, “Don’t tell me what to do! I’m not tired, I don’t need to go to bed !” With a pout he picked his glass of wine threw it back and said “That really is dreadful!” Thirty seven going on three. He’s in bed now as I drink some nice wine and catch up on Strictly.
My little pit bull
I saw this on Facebook and giggled, I imagined my Papichen saying this when GO and I first met all those years ago. I decided to save it and send it to group Mamilein and Papichen had.
I waited for him to reply, and was taken by surprise when it was Mamilein who responded first and quite aggressively too.
“That is right I will hurt anybody who hurts my kwina. I’d like to go to prison, it’s better for me than an old people home. Ha ha!”
Ah, it’s good to know my little pit bull always has my back! I often forget just how scary she can be!
Autumn Clean
I have spent *all* day cleaning and sorting out the living room, shuffling things about, decluttering, vacuuming and just getting all cozy. I’ve moved furniture to different rooms, our picnic basket/table is now in our bedroom. It’s previous contents now in the sideboard (GO’s extensive British TV box set collection). I’m knackered, it’s not a spring clean it’s an autumn clean. It’s great to have some purpose back in my routine, I’d been flagging the past couple of weeks.

How nice
Lifelong commitment is not what everyone thinks it is. It's not waking up early every morning to make breakfast and eat together. It's not cuddling in bed together until both of you peacefully fall asleep. It's not a clean home and a homemade meal every day.
It's someone who steals all the covers or snores like a chainsaw. It's sometimes slammed doors, and a few harsh words, disagreeing, and the silent treatment until your hearts heal. Then...forgiveness!
It's coming home to the same person everyday that you know loves and cares about you, in spite of and because of who you are. It's laughing about the one time you accidentally did something stupid. It's about dirty laundry and unmade beds without finger pointing. It's about helping each other with the hard work of life! It's about swallowing the nagging words instead of saying them out loud. It's about eating the easiest meal you can make and sitting down together at 10 p.m. to eat because you both had a crazy day. It's when you have an emotional breakdown, and your love lays with you and holds you and tells you everything is going to be okay, and you believe them. It's when "Netflix and Chill" literally means you watch Netflix and hang out. It's about still loving someone even though sometimes they make you absolutely insane, angry, and hurt your feelings. Who loves you fat or thin, happy or mad, young or old.
Living with the person you love is not perfect, and sometimes it's hard, but it's amazing, comforting, and one of the best things you'll ever experience.

Well I’m back in reception
I am back in a reception, it’s a tough school but at least this time I am confident in what I am doing. I am looking forward to working with the little people again and having lots of fun. The setting needs some tweaking but I am sure that we’ll get there.

First a drought now a flood
One of the pitfalls of being a supply teacher is the wait after the big holidays, it's especially trying when you don't want to give in to the temptation of long term. Poor but happy doesn't pay the bills.
For over two weeks, I have waited for work. I've joined another agency, been on a trial lesson (which hasn't really led to anything) at a school down the road from the one I left. I have emailed my CV to over forty schools in the valley. I wait, then within twenty four hours I get a call from the school across the road they are in need of supply and possibly cover for mat leave in January, they have booked me for a morning next week. I can only do a morning and in the afternoon I am booked for an afternoon with my old class. The trial school (quite a daunting school) have asked me to work for a couple of days to see how I get on. I how the waiting was worth it.

Grandmothers
I met one of mine, Stuart had two when we married but now sadly only one survives. Grandmothers be they near or far, present or now only in spirit and memory they are a huge part of your life. To honour ours we have added them to our gallery wall. All four of these ladies have amazing stories that one day I hope I can tell. For now though these photos will have to do. Thank you all for who you are and who you helped us become. We love you ladies more than you will ever know.
Lovely words to live by
“Do not ask your children to strive for extraordinary lives. Such striving may seem admirable, but it is the way of foolishness. Help them instead to find the wonder and the marvel of an ordinary life. Show them the joy of tasting tomatoes, apples and pears.Show them how to cry when pets and people die. Show them the infinite pleasure in the touch of a hand. And make the ordinary come alive for them. The extraordinary will take care of itself.” ―William Martin

Curve - work it baybee
For the first time in my life I went to an exhibition and I was one of the smallest people in the place. I was amazing to see so many gorgeous plus size beauties able to be themselves.
Highlights including meeting a Gogglebox star, listening to Tess Holliday, finding so many new brands that I want to try out. For myself and the Blogger Nancy Whittington-Coates who complimented me on my outfit. I wore a longline striped Oxford shirt with rose
embroidery. I thanked her and confessed that I had purchased it from Primani.

Matters of well being
BFMWB (bad for my well being) there have been issues with my DBS update service, so no supply work at the mo.
GFMWB (good for my well being) I have a week to myself, lazy breakfasts, proper coffee in front of the TV for me. Sole control of the remote (Although I do feel guilty).

Can we talk about Christmas yet?
So it was my birthday two days ago, so can we talk about Christmas yet?
Hello September
I loved August, we had the best summer ever. I'm a little bit sad that September can't compete, let's see what happens though.
Good luck September
